A Hummingbirds Flight

I'm a caregiver and an artist. I received high honors in creative writing, fine arts, and sculpture at Montserrat College of Art.

A hummingbirds flight

A hummingbird buzzes by.

Its small wings flipping at a thousand beats a minute.

Zip, Whoosh, Buzz!

Flying high, flying low, flying in my face.

Zoom! Away it goes again!

A hummingbird in flight, what a lovely sight.

As it dips, and it spins, it sees its goal.

A succulent Red Mexican Bird of Paradise.

It flies down with lightning speed and hovers above the perfect prize.

A slithering tongue spits out at a tenth of a second, whoosh, and slurp!

A full belly, and energy for the wings.

A hummingbird's flight, oh such a delight.

A hummingbird in flight.
