A Year Like No Other

Reality Is A Quick Reminder

We don't live forever

Seeing is believing

The whole world changed in front of our eyes

Crippling the economy

It is amazing how people all over the world are affected

New habits, a different attitude towards people

The most loving connection between two people

Now torn apart and ridiculed

Where do we go from here?

Do we learn from our past?

Some people would rather soon forget

Act like nothing ever happened

I want to love life a little more

Then go on with my day

Making it one that I know could always be

Special because of the thoughts that I think

That can change the world

Once again to a better place

Then we once knew

Chrish Canosa You have covered so much in your comment. I never want to get used to it. I want to go back to the way it was before the Pandemic. The sooner we all get shots they say we all will be safe from dying. I feel like a little hampster going round and round on a treadmill not going anywhere but going fast as I can. Thank you so much for all your in-depth comments. I also have many thoughts. If we learn to adjust we can also become more creative and wonderful. Pushing our own selves to the limit. Making life a little bit sweeter. Thank you for always sharing and sending love. Just when I need it the most.42 hours later it is 4:47 A.M. and now I am just getting around to all the comments.

Mona Sabalones Gonzalez I think we all can come out of this Pandemic as a much better person. Not just for ourselves but also for all the people around us. Here it is six days and I read your comment every day. Positive is the way to go. Lifting up people's spirits when they are at their lowest. We are all in this together. All affected in so many ways. Thank you so much for sharing and caring.

John Hansen A half a million people died in the United States. So many loved ones lost. People couldn't even see the people they care about the most in the hospital. I had it easy compared to so many other people. My work cut hours and I have to wear a mask. I have trouble wrapping my head around the whole idea. Some days I go to sleep and wake up and wonder is this all a bad nightmare. Then I see it is not only true but sad. I think we all have become more humble. Thank you so much for reading and sharing. Time goes by so quickly. Six days ago you left this comment. I am finally getting around to answering you.

I feel you to the bone Sir Dream On!

I also don't know if I ever got used to it. I feel overly isolated mentally and physically. But I just don't like the miserable feeling, I need to adjust I don't need to get used to it. All I need I guess is to just accept the truth and embrace the change?

I thank you for your sentiments! What a crazy year.

I'm sending a bunch of love to you all out there!! And also take good care always.

Ann Carr It is funny how life can change overnight. For the most part, people live most of the time the way they have just like the day before. Each day little changes. What a total surprise. It's been a year already and I haven't got used to the changes. I don't think I ever will. Thank you for your sweet comment. Have a great day.

Lovely. Yes, our thoughts are powerful and it's up to us to decide whether to dwell in the land of negative thoughts or rest easy with positive thoughts instead.

Last year was a constant up and down and I thought this year might start off better but for some imaginative reason, I still feel like Alice in her wonderland and thing at any moment some crazy queen is going to shout Off with her head! keeping up fighting the good fight. I hope you're having a good weekend,

John Hansen from Gondwana Land on March 13, 2021:

The last year has been a difficult one Dream On. I hope things return to some sort of normality soon. Nice writing. I can feel your emotion.

Ann Carr from SW England on March 13, 2021:

Great sentiments! Some ignore this pandemic and hope it goes away but I tend to think it has taught us quite a few things. Patience is one! Though not everyone has enough of that, I think. Also we have learnt that pollution levels can go down quickly (and back up again!) and that our loved ones are even more special than we thought.

You've made me ponder on all sorts of things! Thank you.
