A Trip to the Store for a Little Something More

I have stumbled across a new passion: writing. It is proving to be insightful and rewarding.

Thinking about what I want on my plate, I plan a trip into town, soon I’m out the gate.

Bread, buns, sweet & sour sauce, and hash browns sound great.

With my mouth watering I suddenly think,

Toilet paper is on the list, too, I hope I don’t stink.

Down to our last roll, this becomes my desire,

I hope they have some, cuz I have some food ready to expire!

When I get to town, I don my mask,

Ever ready to accomplish my task!

As I follow the arrows and walk the aisles, I some how don’t feel this is free style.

But just to be safe, I hurry along, and choose the toilet paper that doesn’t chafe.

I’m almost there, the finish line is in sight.

Pay the bill, bag the goods, I’m ready for some afternoon delight!

Soon I’m home and feel relief, sitting on that porcelain throne.

With a gentle wipe, the waste is gone, but not without a painful groan.

I held it as long as I could walking around that store.

But what a good feeling it brings knowing they got more!
