A Tao of Love Floods my Soul. A Free Verse Sonnet

You called my name, O Lover,

A thousand Joys within me stirred!

Here I sit, calm, serene …

Engrossed in the gaze of Infinitude.

Mother Heaven kisses my breath;

The Beloved One dances before me.

Come! Sweet Rhapsody!

Enwrap my core with Your bliss-filled Silence.

The fears of the mind are extinguished;

From deep within emerges the Light.

The pride of the ego evaporates;

The tears of the Heart are unmatched with longing.

Love descends from the rays of an indigo moonlight,

Flooding my soul with its Delight.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier, 2nd January, 2018.

The Spirit of Hope for Another Golden Dawn

O Hope, my uncaged bird within the soul,

Ever anew, thy spark glimmers, upon each golden dawn.

A New Year beckons and challenges await;

I hear the Guardians of the virgin morn:

“Come!” They say. “The old clock is gone!”

Let us move forward to the vision of the great unknown.

The clarion-call of promise,

Whispers a cute melody in my core.

Arise! Awake! The cuckoo chants beatitudes,

Telling of my yesterday's; rejoicing in my tomorrows.

O Flame! Such beauty in Your lustre!

Burning my host of indiscretions,

You herald the Light of tomorrow's dreams.

O Hope, my uncaged bird, sweet Jerusalem approaches.

Let us soar to the pinnacle of this blinding Love.

Two beautiful poems. These lines will be in my focus for the New Year: "Arise! Awake! The cuckoo chants beatitudes, Telling of my yesterday's; rejoicing in my tomorrows."

A peaceful feeling and a charming write, my Sweet spiritual sister. You have noticed some crucial pieces of the struggle. Joy and Love to you.

Eric,

Yes. This piece was effortlessly done in Germany and felt great! Thank you so much.

Yes Bill,

Among those I know, Nellieanna is perhaps the closest in style but again my mystical approach and the ability to create makes me so different! They like to hear me in poetry circles. Because no one else is like me. Thank you for your loving endorsement. Very special coming from you.

Linda Lum from Washington State, USA on January 05, 2018:

"The fears of the mind are extinguished." That beautiful verse speaks to me of how frivolous it is to worry. Not one problem is solved by time spent in distress. The pride of ego evaporates.

Pray, meditate, and then give your cares over to the One in charge. He loves and will direct your path. That is the Light.

Thank you for reminding us that we are cherished and guided. What a peaceful feeling.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on January 05, 2018:

Thank you for another peaceful feeling.

Bill Holland from Olympia, WA on January 05, 2018:

There is no one, in my circle of friends, who writes as you do. Yours is a unique voice which oozes beauty.
