A Sign of Spring

a-hint-of-spring

Watch the geese above your head,

Surprise they don’t turn south instead,

In formation of a v,

Makes us wonder what they see.

A robin hops in the snow,

A sign of spring, don’t you know?

It is strange the signs so clear.

Are telling us spring is near.

Do not fret or make a fuss.

From the snow pops a crocus.

The smell of spring so sweet,

Sugar house has maple treats.

Maybe we can warm our toes,

As cold weather starts to go.

Sunscreen, shades, and bathing suits,

Are all in high-speed pursuit.

There is still plenty of blowing snow here today, but if March comes in like a lion, the old saying generally holds true that it will go out like a lamb. I am so really for warmer weather.

Great poem.

I don't see any signs of Spring just yet, and I do indeed have crocuses in my flowerbed.

No robins either.

Just snow...pretty to look at but I'll be glad when Spring starts easng around the corner.
