Samuel Malik Canty: the Word Bird. I am the author of Four Poetry Books, I understand my Purpose, and my words are my proof...

Lady

You are Rare…You are Genuine in your actions and in your treatment of people.

Genuine in your heart, true to your words, loyal to your God, faithful to your family and friends.

Lady…That word is given Life by You.

That word slips on you as if it was yours skin...

Lady…Not part time, all the time...

Lady…Won’t compromise, won’t deviate from her beliefs to please anyone.

Won’t showboat no matter how fashionable it becomes, no matter how many people disapprove.

Lady…Classy… Refuses to dress trashy because of age fear, because of time change, because of others opinion about her.

Lady…Operates out her Own Mind all the time.

Lady…Rolls with it, goes with it, until the ruffles of her waters become calm again.

Lady…Inner shine is only matched by the outside lights that permeates her air when she appears.

Lady… God’s Light, not spotlight, is her delight…Mentally strong, self-sufficient when the needs arise.

Lady…You are Rare…You are angelic in human form since the day you were born…

Don’t you ever change, for you are everything, every woman should strive to always be…

It’s not about being cute with you, just about class, not part time all the time…

Lady…You are the true meaning of an Earth Star…

Keep the dignity walk in your steps, your glow demands respect.

I took the pieces of this poem from the Essence of You and no matter what you are going through, been through, when I see You, all I see is a Lady…

Oh, loved reading this. I heard a man's deep velvety voice reading the soothing words out loud....well, in my head he was reading it out loud. LOL. You know what I mean. Like spoken poetry. Beautiful piece of work here.
