A Poem On Dealing With Depression

Daydreaming nihilist. Code maniac with a coffee addiction. Music, movie buff. High functioning alcoholic.

Smoke Till I Die - W h o I s I

Smoke Till I Die - W h o I s I

These thoughts are heavy
Crawling cause bones are weary
Pain descends into the spine
Don't wake up. There's no sunshine

Eyes burn from a day so dreary
Gave all pieces, left aren't any
Not so much as even a smile
Don't wake up. There's no sunshine

Voices in the head, they're crazy
Jumping off the edge for safety
Hope is just a wonderful lie
Don't wake up. There's no sunshine

Masquerading happy stories
Ostentatious postlude of glory
Covered in countless layers to hide
Don't wake up. There's no sunshine

Wear this heart on sleeve, the folly!
Get stepped on by everybody
Kindness couldn't bring the light
Can't wake up, I'm dead inside.
