A Poem About Right Love

How do you know when it is right?

I am not a fan of bible and religion but this verse from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 simply answers what true and right love is, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth."

To My Dearest Love

Despite my fear of height
and the unknown,
I left all my doubts behind
and jumped off the highest cliff.
Falling in love with you
was conquering my fear of uncertain,
and for first time in my life,
I felt brave.
You’re the greatest risk
I have ever taken,
and it was all worth it.
The pain,
the sadness,
the solitude,
you made everything bearable.
You fought with me
on my battles,
shielded me,
repaired me.
You silenced the murmurs
that prevents me to sleep at night.
You wiped away the darkness,
brought greens,
yellows, and a lot more.
It was soothing.
Everything is comfortable.
I’m safe.
I’m home.
I’m in peace.
I guess that’s just how it is—
when it is right,
when it is true.
