A Man With Nail-pierced Hands

Rosualdo is just an ordinary person with an extraordinary God, who wants to spread God’s words and love through writing articles and poems.

But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” (John 20:25-27 NIV)

When darkness filled my way in a long and weary journey

When the gloomy path reveals a hidden certain uncertainty

When the fearful shadow implies an inevitable obscurity

A man with nail-pierced hands came to light up my day

When troubles chained me in the labyrinth of fear and anxiety

When the pain imprisoned me in the bitter cell of agony

When hardship caged me in a sour dungeon of adversity

A man with nail-pierced hands appeared and set me free

When the blazing syringes of harm were tossed to me steadily

When the flaming arrows of evil were thrown at me relentlessly

When the glaring bullets of injury were fired to me continuously

A man with nail-pierced hands emerged to shield me

When the storms of life arrived to bring an unusual emergency

When the violent winds blast to make a destructive tragedy

When the rain and the surge overflow to create fatal calamity

A man with nail-pierced hands entered to stop the catastrophe

When the unwanted sickness finds its way to my unhealthy body

When the unloved illness moves over to ruin my potency

When the undesirable infections rush to destroy my energy

A man with nail-pierced hands came up to heal and restore my vitality

When the enemies invaded my exposed and vulnerable territory

When their venomous fangs are ready to consume and devour me

When their strong and sharp claws are prepared to crush me

A man with nail-pierced hands shows up and gives me a victory

When I face the just judge because of my transgression and iniquity

When the guilt was all over me and I'm worthy to pay my liability

When I found out the most surprising reality that I'm no longer guilty

A man with nail-pierced hands arrived and said, I already paid the penalty

When all the things he has done inject joy and comfort into me

When my perplexed mind start to know his mysterious identity

When I ask the name of the hero and warrior who rescue me

A man with nail-pierced hands said, Jesus, is my name, my buddy

When I recognize him my tears began to slide unexpectedly

When I know I nailed and crucified him in the hillside of Calvary

When I remember that I murdered him brutally without pity

But the unfailing love of the man with nail-pierced hands prevailed over my depravity
