Faith - What Do I Do With My Faith

I was recently reading in the book of Daniel about how in faith, Daniel was able to endure many things. I also discovered Daniel’s faith was not just something he had it was something he exuded each and everyday. It was his faith which helped him live and thrive in Babylon.

Faith is what can keep us going in the dark times and help us to revel in the good times. Faith is not stagnant it is free flowing and active. Faith is a verb. It is a part of your relationship with Jesus which you are not to keep to yourself but to share with others. Sharing your faith is how your faith grows deeper and deeper.

All of the poems and lyrics in this offering are not written about faith but with faith in Godin the mind. An active faith which helps me write and craft words, helps me to live in a sometime turbulent world, helps me to know God is there.

The Book of Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “(Have faith) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” This is the true definition of faith.

A Joyful Noise

Make a joyful noise

Make a

Make a

A joyful noise

Unto the Lord

Make a

Make a

A joyful noise

Unto the Lord

Make a joyful noise

Unto the Lord

C’mon all you faithful

The world is feelin’ down

They need to hear some noise

Which won’t drag them down

It’s time to stand up

Rise up

Make a joyful noise

It’s time to stand up

Rise up

Make a joyful noise

Make a

Make a

A joyful noise

Unto the Lord

Make a

Make a

A joyful noise

Unto the Lord

Make a joyful noise

Unto the Lord

A Better Place

I dreamed

of a better place

Just the other night

A new place

Filled with a great joy

What a beautiful sight

I know it‘s true, do you

i know it’s true, do you

I Saw no pain,

No suffering

No evil words

Were hurled my way

Everyone danced to the tune

Of a brand new day

I know it’s true, do you

I know it’s true, do you

Everyone knew

Each other by name

Each was called

As a friend

War ceased to be a problem

Pain came to an end

I know it’s true, do you

I know it’s true, do you

Dawn's light came

The dream drew away

Still my heart

Beat anew

For the place of peace and light

A beautiful place

I know it’s true

Do you, do you

God Will Take My Hand

When the days of fear

Rush deep into my soul

God will take my hand

When the days of loneliness

Seek to drag me down

God will take my hand

When the trials of this life

Seek to pull me into the deep

God will take my hand

God will take my hand

God will take my hand

Hold onto me with His

Strong, firm grip

God will take my hand

God will take my hand

God will take my hand

One day when my life

Has faded away and it’s time

To reach into the Promised land

God will take my hand

Lead me home

Lead me home

God will take my hand

God will take my hand

He

He called

And men followed

He taught

And people marveled

He spoke

And demons fled

He reached out

And the sick were healed

He loved

And the world was given

New life

He’s still there

Waiting for you

To follow

To marvel

To be healed

To seek new life

He’s still there

You

Who you are

As a person

Is who you are

On the inside

Because

Deep inside you heart

Lies

The true you

The real you

The you

You can never hide

Because

Sooner or later

The you on the inside

Will show on the outside

So guard

The inside you

Keep it rooted

In the truth, life and way

Adjust Your Vision

See the lord

High and lifted up

Seated on his throne

Don’t push past number one

Living life horizontally

See things as they are

Trying to do good works

Trying to get far

Wait, stop

Adjust your vision

Dare to lift your eyes

See the lord on high

Seated on his throne

Don’t push past number one

See the world through

The lenses of his love

Live life vertically

Focused on heaven above

That way your vision

Will remain clear

No longer blurred

by things down here

Wait, stop

Adjust your vision

Dare to lift your eyes

See the lord on high

Seated on his throne

Don’t push past number one

Color My Dreams

Color my, color my

Color my dreams

Color my, color my

Color my dreams

Separate me from what

This world seems

And color my dreams

Well, this world i live

It is not my own

It’s a dream i’m havin’

On my way home

Much, much more

Than can meet the eye

If i blink twice

It will pass me by

So i gaze upon the colors

That have all faded to grey

Ever searching my dreams

For that brighter day

Color my, color my

Color my dreams

Color my, color my

Color my dreams

Separate me from what

This world seems

And color my dreams

Well someday my dream

Will be over

And i will open my eyes

To gaze upon a brand new world

With crystal blue skys

There will br no more

Dreams of balck and white

No more colors faded to gray

All the colors will be

So bright

As if they were painted

That way
