A HOME

Walls made of stone

They hear the stories

Piping out of the chimney

Smokey gusts of past lives

Residents entwined

Molecular cells

Fill the wooden frames

And engrossed wood bulges

From turnpikes of emotional refuse

That crumble into piles of data

Like feta cheese

Then passed on

To new inhabitants

That heed to sheltered wings

From many past lives

That came and went

Like a weary traveler

That never finds rest

Just a brief moment

Of reconciliation.
