A Hateful World
There’s hatred in the world,
That follows at our feet,
Rooted down in our pain,
But hidden super deep.
It tears from inside out,
A chain around the soul,
Blinding you with fire,
Recommended
You put it in control.
The world is built on this,
But it’s why we will fall,
People will be destroyed,
Since it has ruled us all.

So many problems and conflicts in the world start with hatred and anger, and a lot of that anger is rooted in unnecessary prejudice, stereotypes, and judgment. Racism, homophobia, sexism, and all the other hate will only cause more pain to the world and perpetuate the destruction of us all.
This poem was written a little over a year ago based on the small amount of hatred that I have seen. But as 2020 progresses, the amount of hate shown in the world has increased and I have become more aware of the injustices that so many face based on the things they can't control.
