You made
Upset me
Bothered me
Caused me some pain
So if it‘s all the same
Keep your
Negative words
Critical words
Comments so lame
To yourself
Where they belong
Some comments
You see
Are not worth
Ever setting free
Letting go of
The ones you speak
So if you don’t mind
Could you just
Be quiet
Satisfaction
Satisfaction
Is so hard to find
There’s alway more
You want in mind
More time
More money
All the latest toys
More joy
More peace
All the latest looks
More, more
There’s always more
Gotta learn
To be satisfied
Satisfied
To live life to the fullest you need to give love
First Love
My first love
My first love
Thinking about my
One first love
Was she who I sought after
Maybe another
In my heart
I’m not truly sure
My first love
Everybody Knows
Everybody
Knows a little bit
About a lot
But not much
About the important things
Which carry a life
How to love
Without any strings
How to live
When life stinks
How to laugh no matter what
May come each new day
Words Are Like Walls
Words Are Like Walls
They can box you in
They can put up barriers
Which can't be broken
So you need to be careful
Of the words you say
Treat them with loving care
Don’t let them swing or sway
Ask yourself why before you do anything. If you don’t like the answer don’t do it.
Letter
Wrote a letter
Just the other day
To myself
Had much I needed to say
About how my life
Hadn’t panned out
How I wanted it to
Without a doubt
I had some really good times
But also a few
Times of sadness and
Times of woe
I also told myself
How I braved
The storms, came out much stronger
But also battleworn
I ended
By telling myself
To seek to be strong
As more storms
May one day come along
As the years wear away
At my health
With each passing day
The Truth
I’ve become so frustrated
I’ve been wearin’ a frown
Cause this world we live in
Is goin’ down, goin’ down
People just don’t wanna see
The world we’ve now become
They think everything’s ok
Everything is fine and done
But if they’d take a little time
View the world with open eyes
They’d see the truth is there
Right behind all of the lies
Sunset
Is it time
To watch the sunset
See the sun
Drop below the horizon
The day is now done
Darkness comes
To bathe the whole world
In pale shades
Nighttime is unfurled
Each day dawns with new possibilities you only need open your eyes wide to see them.
Firsts
Firsts
Are those moments
Which happen
And
When they happen
Once done
They can never be
Born anew
Gotta enjoy
The firsts in life
The first child
The first step
The first word
The first friend
The first day as a teen
The first car
The first job
The first glance
The first date
The first kiss
The first love
Graduation
Marriage
Other first which come
Gotta enjoy
The firsts in life
Everybody Knows
Everybody
Knows a little bit
About a lot
But not much
About the important things
Which carry a life
How to love
Without any strings
How to live
When life stinks
How to laugh no matter what
May come each new day
Time
Time
We all want more time
More seconds
More hours
More days
To do the things
We want to do
Problem is
We all have a
Preset clock
Which daily goes
Tick tock, tick tock
Winding down
The seconds
The hours
The days
We’ve been given
To walk
Among the living
When the clock
Runs out
There is no doubt
The time is done
Satisfied
Why do I always
Want more
Than I already have
Why can’t I ever be
Satisfied
Satisfied
By who I am
What I have
Never wanting
Never seeking
To grab hold
Of what I can’t
Grasp in my hands
The unattainable
Why can’t I ever be
Satisfied
Satisfied
