of the fireplace in snow-covered weather,
my snowdrift in the desert and tropical
climate, my scent of oranges and blues.

We are those two points. I am your north;
you are my south pole,
and our union intersects one surface—
an inseparable couple at the Club Paradise
resort in Coron, Palawan—that specific night.

Postscript: "North Pole" is inspired by mommy and daddy's
"a ticket for two" at the Club Paradise resort in Coron, Palawan in 1998.
