Kenneth, loves satire and writings to spotlight others, but he also has an "addiction" so to speak, to dramatic and abstract/prose poetry.

See the monkey

See the monkey

See the monkey men.

Running to

Running fro

Running from the monkey men.

Jumping high

Jumping low

Jumping higher than the monkey men.

Lightning flash

Lightning dash

World turns fast

The grinning monkey men.

Sun is hot

Sun is gone

But you, dear child

Are talking to

The monkey and their men.

Writer's Summary______________

If I could adapt a childhood saying or childhood song, it would have to be about monkeys and music. I happen to love both.

Hello, MizBejabbers -- an organ grinder and his partner could make good money if the crowds were sympatheric and the monkey could dance.

I've always held the belief that although the monkey could dance, the monkey never knew just how he could grind the organ grinder to the dirt by protesting him dancing in front of those strangers.

If I were a wise monkey protesting--I would ask more bananas. More peanuts. Lots more breaks and fresh pineapple chunks.

Do I know my monkeys or what?

Thanks, MJB and write me anytime.

Hi, Gypsy Rose Lee -- I am so very glad that you and I had something in common, your organ grinder ad his monkey and this story that made me remember that little memory from somewhere I do not know.

Thanks, Gypsy for being My Dear Friend and then my follower. You are one of the most-talented hubbers on HubPages. I just wanted you to know that. I am just sorry for telling you this enough.

        Take care. Write me anytime.

Most delightful. I have seen an organ grinder and its monkey one summer, ages ago in the most unlikely place on the street in Manhattan, NYC. At first, I thought it was the heat and my mind and I was seeing things but then the organ grinder began to play and sing, the monkey to dance and before you know it I could hardly get out of the crowd. Here is a link of another organ grinder I think you will enjoy.

Whaaaa? I saw them in the movies and on TV, but never had the privilege of meeting one. Nice nonsense, my friend.
