Did you ever?

Retired counselor, 341 short stories published by FSU. I have 4 sons, love sharing photography, writing, love travel, sunshine, sea & Grace.

Did you ever see the sunset over a mottled marshmallow sky
Did you ever hear the sweetness of a newborn baby's sigh
Did you ever sense the message behind unspoken words
Did you ever see the brightness in the eyes of singing birds

Did you ever stand on mountains and understand your size
Did you ever truly grasp, that life's our greatest prize
Did you ever see the love in every living thing
Did you ever just let go, and allow your heart to sing

Did you ever bless another, without expectation of return
Did you ever teach love's lessons; the ones you need to learn
Did you ever feel compassion, for the situation of another
Did you ever really know, I am your sister, your brother

Did you ever have a dream that became a reality
Did you ever comprehend, that possibilities are free
Did you ever feel the power when you open your heart to all
Did you ever feel the softness of a lover's feathered fall

Did you ever lose a loved one, and ache with your last goodbye
Did you ever trust that love lives on, and simply cannot die
Did you ever see the purest love, shine from an infants face
Did you ever feel the awesome power, of a warm and loving embrace

Did you ever get broken, by love's deepest purpose for you
Did you ever feel despair, until you were able to breakthrough
Did you ever see the pattern in every living thing
Did you ever just cry because, life really is amazing!
