‘Hope’, even though sounds simple is a magical word. It has the power to turn deserts into farmlands, despair into prosperity, hatred into love and war into peace. Dictionaries define hope as an optimistic state of mind that is based on a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen. But in the Bible hope is the confident expectation of what God has promised and its strength is in His faithfulness.

Why do we need hope?

All of us have heard the saying,” life is not a bed of roses”. Well, it's true. When we experience the highs of life, the compliments and the success, we get carried away by them. We start believing that this is life and fail to realise that it is just one part of it.

When unexpectedly, life gives us a setback we get shattered. Not knowing what to do, most people start complaining about life, they become angry and frustrated as they are unable to cope with their situations. That is when hope comes in!

“We need to remember that even in the hardest of times there could be light, even in the most devastating situation there could be hope.”

How being hopeful is going to make a difference in our lives:

Hope is like the ray of light that we need to follow in order to lead a happy life. Besides providing a reason to move on, being hopeful fills our lives with joy and happiness.

‘A flower never complains about being separated from its plant, instead it rejoices in thinking of adorning the MANE of young women.’

Similarly, being hopeful may not completely alter your current situation, however it gives you the strength and courage to come out of it and also provides you a reason to be happy.

The holy Bible says,

‘But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagle, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint’ - Isaiah 40:31

How do we find hope in our lives?

  • The very fact that you are alive is a reason to be hopeful. You have the power and energy to create a better tomorrow. Learn to train your mind to focus on what you can control in life, instead of complaining about things which you cannot control.
  • Every day is a new opportunity to become something better, to learn something new or to explore the world. Every dawn and the beaming sunshine make us forget the past and inspires us to focus on today. Remember, this day of yours is God's gift unto you and how you use this day is your gift unto God.
  • Every person around you gives you a reason to move on in life. Your family and friends are always beside you and with their support, you can overcome any obstacle in life.

A short poem:

Life is a priceless gift from god unto you, surprisingly those who make the most out of it are only a very few.

Everyone has something in life that they truly desire, and to achieve that you need to have in you a burning fire.

Sometimes you succeed while sometimes you may not, so don't get disheartened remember you have truly fought!

It's when human's fail that God comes into power, and upon you his endless blessings he's gonna shower,

So, wait with all your hopes alive and true, Remember with God only the BEST awaits you!

Conclusion:

During spring, birds love to fly across the fields and find joy in tasting the nectar of different kinds of flowers. When winter arrives, they don't get disheartened. Instead, they begin their flight across countries and oceans with hope in their hearts to find flowers again. Similarly, whatever happens in life learn to carry with you an optimistic attitude and always cling on to the magical world hope. It will never let you down. You can't change the past but you can always do better today and have a brighter tomorrow!
