Hi epigramman, how are you? We used to communicate a lot more often when I was more active on my hubs! I love your work you bring humor and insight to every day situations. I hope to become more involved with Hubpages again - so good to see old friends like you are still here; still keeping on, keeping on.. with a big smile all over your writings - I'm in Florida and its a little overcast and misty today (a little like myself). Canada must be beautiful in the winter!

epigramman on January 04, 2013:

Well I am thankful to be here on your page and to be able to read a stellar list which seems to be quite similar to mine.

I love your passion here and your zest for life and good quality living and I sit here sending you warm sincere wishes for you and your family for your continued good health, happiness and prosperity in 2013.

Thank you all for your kind comments... I am away for two weeks so have just seen these - thanks silentreed, Erin lefey, oceansnsunsets; Sushi is definitely in the list - must be no. 51, fuzzy socks and sweaters and much higher when I am in UK in the winter, but as I live in Florida, they are way down the list... but soft sheets and a comfortable bed.. now they are way up there!

Love this hub on thankfulness. Great to see this and get us all thinking about things we thankful for.

Erin LeFey from Maryland on December 09, 2010:

Beautiful hub! I write these lists so often myself. Its wonderful to be reminded of all the things/people/feelings we have around us that make our world such a happy place to be. And it can be such a personal thing so thank you so much to sharing yours.

Voted up and beautiful.

I have my Love and Family on the list - they get one mention or else they would take up the whole list - but they are my heart.

and I would add warm fuzzy socks and sweaters. I can't go a day, no matter the season, without them. Inside of course.

SilentReed from Philippines on December 07, 2010:

We sometimes forget and take for granted the simple things in life that give it it's intrinsic value prefering instead to br grateful only for the tangible and materialistic. Thank you for reminding us.

Susan Hazelton from Sunny Florida on November 26, 2010:

You have a great thankful for list. Everyone should have one. Your number 1 and 2 are where they should be. I think we should all take the time to be thankful for all of the things we have or have access to rather than what we don't have. Wonderful hub.

Helen Lewis (author) from Florida on November 25, 2010:

Hiya brightforyou, oh so many things to be thankful for. Such an impromptu list, I for one think it's just perfect.. you did the right thing and now edit a single one. Awesome! I am now a fan.

Have a nice day!

Helen Lewis (author) from Florida on November 25, 2010:

Hi mhodges23 - I'm now following you! Thank you for your comments - I agree, the glass is very often half-full for many people; but when you stop and add up all that you have, you begin to count your blessings. Thanks so much for your observant comments - :-) Helen

mhodges23 on November 25, 2010:

I cannot tell you how many people I know who would do themselves some good to stop and think about all the things they should be thankful for in their life, people have a tendencey to only see what is missing and find reasons to be miserable. Kudos to you for seeing life for what it truly is and being thankful for it!

Helen Lewis (author) from Florida on November 25, 2010:

Hi Jai Warren, thanks for stopping by and for your comments... you are right; happiness is in gratitude, Ciao and I look forward to reading your hubs; Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Helen :-)

Hi scriber1 - Gosh, thanks for the insight; brilliant.. I will add it. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving each and every day - thank you! :-) Helen

scriber1 on November 25, 2010:

The only thing missing from your list is self-awarneness -- which clearly you possess; witness the list. Thank you so much

Jai Warren from Dallas, Deep Ellum, Texas on November 25, 2010:

Everyone should make a "thankful for" list. And, glance at it everyday... not just at Thanksgiving! It's a total attitude adjustment.

Really enjoyed it, Happy Thanksgiving!!! Ciao

Helen Lewis (author) from Florida on November 24, 2010:

Hi drbj thanks for your comments - you must have missed the first line: In no particular order!! LOL - no, they are not in order - its just a bit of fun and an expression of the holiday; thanks for stopping by and a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! :-) Helen

drbj and sherry from south Florida on November 24, 2010:

Your numbers one and two are definitely in the right place on your list - first and second. Also, I noticed that "pork chops" are higher on your list than "love-making." Wow! Those have got to be the world's most delicious pork chops! :)

Helen Lewis (author) from Florida on November 24, 2010:
