Welcome to My Mother's Garden

After two years of not meeting my family, I decided to take a long holiday. I stayed three months with my parents. I absolutely enjoyed the time while I was there. I took the chance to help my mother taking care of her quaint garden. In the morning, I love to water the plants and the flowers. I helped to change the flower pots and the soil as well. By the way, my mother's garden locates in the front yard. I water them twice a day as it is hot and humid in Malaysia.

My Mother's Favorite Activity

Planting is such a great outdoor activity. My mother has been growing plants and flowers for almost thirty years. In the morning, she loves spending the time outside, watering the plants, arranging the flower pots, and of course, seeding new flowers and plants. As far as I remember, some plants have been grown for a while, for instance, the bougainvillea. My mother has had them for more than twenty years.

The Climate

Malaysia is located near the equator, hence, Malaysia's climate is categorized as equatorial, being hot and humid throughout the year. As a result, some plants and flowers are best grown in a hot and humid climate, for example, caladiums and coleus. Here, I would like to share the beautiful plants and flowers that she grows in her garden.

My favorite thing to do in the morning is to smell the blooming rose in the garden.

Thank you, Maria. Yes, she enjoys it every day. I feel like appreciating her garden more and more especially, after a long holiday in my hometown. When moving to a new house soon, I would like to have a beautiful garden like my mom. Thanks for reading, Maria. Have a lovely weekend!

Yes, it was. I wish I could have brought the plants home with me! They were just gorgeous. The best thing to do in the morning was getting up and went to the garden. I miss it already. Thanks for commenting, Linda.

Thank you for your appreciation of my mom's beautiful garden, Pamela. She's very proud of it as she spent a lot of time maintaining it. Oh, yes, some of the plants and flowers cannot be grown in the States (some parts yes). I am envy looking at the pretty flowers that she has in her garden :)

Thanks for sharing your mother's gorgeous garden with us. Many of the same plants grow well here in Houston, as it is also a hot and humid climate. The fish pond is also pretty. I am sure you enjoyed your visit!
