We are dog people; we adore the unconditional love animals have for us humans. We adopt rescue dogs that need people, unconditional love!

Introduction to our Pomeranian Katie

Let us introduce you to our Pomeranian Katie.

She is a rescue dog abandoned in a locked garage with two other dogs by her previous owners who moved. It was three days before someone heard their barking. The city dog pound rescued Katie one other dog, and the third dog a male Pomeranian went to doggie heaven.

It’s sad people get animals and dislikes the responsibility for them.

Katie lived two weeks at the dog pound until the Wilson family adopted her, we love her dearly!

Welcome, Home Katie!

When she came to stay, she was a curious little dog poking into everything. She settles into our home and makes friends with her fur baby sisters.

When the time came for her shots, the veterinary guessed, she was about 1 ½ years old.

Katie's Special Friend, Madison

Our granddaughter Madison would spend her allowance buying outfits to dress Katie up. When she was in first grade, she was in a group, and they had to pick something to talk about. Our granddaughter told them all about Katie, this is where she ended up with the name kung fu Katie with the kids.

She also bought her a princess outfit, and she won second place in a dog parade.

Katie ended up with the nicknames, kung fu Katie, Katie ku ku and pom pom Pomeranian.

Katie Ku the Escaper

We go to a nearby town to do all our errands every two weeks, like grocery shopping, banking, Wally world and having lunch together.

We have a chain-link fence around the back of our property, a huge area to run and play. But Katie ku ku digs under the fence and proceeds to visit all the dog in the neighborhood! When the little escapee gets out, you can call her name, and she just looks and runs away like we are playing a game of chase with her!

Grandkids to visitors have tried to catch her, but only granddaughter Madison could get her to come. She spoiled her buying cute outfits and spent special time with her. Every time someone opens the door, she thinks it is an invitation to come out the door.

When she finishes visiting all the dogs in our neighborhood, she comes back home!

Katie Loves Her Bathtime!

She is so Darn Cute, but Mischievious!

We were always afraid she would get hit, or the dog catcher would pick her up. Our ritual was to jump into the car, and go up and down the streets looking everywhere.

Well, when we pulled into the garage, she was standing there waiting.

When we opened the car door, she jumped in, wanting to go for a ride!

Loves to eat and not Good at Sharing!

One time we went to lunch, when we opened the door Katie jumped into the car she had sneaked out while we were gone! I tried to get her to come, but she was staying put.

My husband saw her standing in the floor and was wondering why she was not up on the seats looking around like she usually does.

We forgot we had a doggie bag for lunch for our three dogs. Yes, you guessed; she ate it, the bread she left for the other two dogs!

Katie we Love you!

This Katie we love a lot, and she gives us many smiles, but many frowns also! Today Katie is 14 years old and bounces around like she is a young pup. She only has three teeth left, so we feed her soft food and treat her for arthritis. She will take a trip around the neighborhood when she gets the chance!

What person would leave living beings abandoned in a garage? So sad! Katie is precious and so lucky to have a rescue family like yours.
