Story of Reena
This is the story of Reena who is an enthusiastic, independent and hard-working dreamer. She earns through applying henna and cooking for weddings. She belongs to a very low-class family. She was loaded with a lot of responsibilities at a very young age. Reena devoted most of her life helping her family and others in every way possible. She has always been an independent woman and still works hard to fulfill her dreams.
Her father passed away when she was really young, so she started working to support the family. She tried her hand every possible thing. She learned how to cook, joined an agency where they would send her all over India to cook food for weddings. She learned how to apply henna and even set up a small shop where she would sit in her free time. She contributed at home and helped her mother and brothers keep the house going.
Whenever she would get a suitor, she used to reject them because she always felt that there was so much left to be accomplished, so much more left to help. And if she would get married, she wouldn’t be able to do any of it.
A few years back, one of her acquaintances who was an old lady fell very sick and the lady did not have anybody to take care of her. She started spending her time taking care of her and even shifted her shop right outside the doorsteps of that lady’s house. The lady’s condition went from bad to worse and eventually she passed away. That incident broke her heart.
That made her realize how inevitable things can be, that no matter what you do or what you think you can do to change it, life will remain the way it is. She realized that she’d spend a lot of her life for others. Thinking, that it was not only her duty as a human but also had a responsibility towards herself. It took a while but now she has slowed down, she still works and focuses more on herself.
She discovered that she loves traveling and so she decided to save money and dreams of traveling abroad. She said that its no harm in dreaming big and she believes that if a person has guts to dream big, he has guts to make those dreams come true too. She does all the things that make her happy and that is her key to stay positive.
Reena chose to celebrate her life by keeping herself happy and working hard to fulfill her dreams.
Share with me your celebration story and I will share it with people through my blogs.
