MsDora, former teacher and Christian counselor, is an avid Bible student and loves to compile user-friendly Bible quotes by topic.

While most people sleep at night, others remain awake counting sheep. Still others are confronted with life-changing experiences during the night, as referenced in some of the following Bible quotes from the New Living Translation. The bible makes for a book of interesting ideas and philosophy, here's a favorite quote of mine -

        Psalm 127:2

"It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep."

Don't forget to get good sleep guys!

MsDora, I would like to try something like this, too, if you would not mind. It would help me to renew myself in The Lord if I might write a Hub with Bible Verses. You have given me a very wonderful idea! Would it be okay if I tried this out?

        Hugs,

Lawrence, we associate night with darkness so that works. Also, someone, somewhere is repeating this verse during a dark night on the metaphorical path. Thanks for your input.

"Thy word, is a lamp unto my feet, and a light to my path" One of my favourites. Not strictly about 'the night' I know, but still a light in a dark path.

Dora you are our aunt around here. We even read your letter just to us and agreed God is great. If we just open up the box of possibilities and are humble enough to be guided by those wiser than us we learn about grace. It is a help for me to not say "I said" but rather Dora said. The only wrong thing you can do is stop sharing.
