How to Change a Negative Thought to a Positive One

In learning how to change a negative mind or thought to a positive one, people need to understand what is actually happening. Negative thought seems to come in intense waves that are hard to shift.

These thoughts might be compared to a snowball rolling down a snow-drenched hill, becoming thicker and rolling faster. So, how do you stop the snow monster?

By taking these easy tips in self awareness, as outlined in this article, you will find your own strategies to successful positive thinking.

Once you have mastered this, your life will become healthier, happier and more joyous than you have imagined!

Blessings Are A Positive Affirmation

You can feel it rising. Someone has said something to you or treated you in a manner which displeases you. You want to react. STOP. Listen to your feelings. This is another one of life's challenges that seem to be sent to try you, to push you to your limit. Don't fall for it, take a pause, and bless them.

Once you have established that idea, you are well on the way to a happier and more joyous life. Your negative feelings are an indication that something is not quite right and you need to do something to change them - to become more harmonious. By blessing and wishing well, it seems to act as an instant shift to an emotional state.

Blessings Come From Love

Blessings - A Magical Effect

No one has sneezed, so why bless others? Blessing others are a positive affirmation. When you bless, you are sending a signal or frequency. In quantum physics, it is common knowledge that everything vibrates at a frequency, so, by blessing someone, you are changing, not only their frequency, but your own.

You will be amazed at the instant magical effects these blessings have. Not only does it help to change a negative mind or thought into a positive one, it helps you to feel good. Good feelings make for a happy and joyous life.

Take Steps To Becoming Your Best

It Isn't Life That Is The Problem, It Is How You Deal With It!

You can not expect to control the behaviour of others, or your environment, but in changing how you feel and helping yourself to be your best, the quality of your life improves.

It isn't your life that is the problem, it is you or how you deal with it. Expect challenges but see this as something good that will help you to develop into a better and more fulfilled person.

Give yourself time and space if there is a situation that has arisen where you feel an instant negative reaction. Turn away and deal with it when you are able to give love to it - after rationalisation.

The Bad Feeling Alert

Negative thoughts have a habit of returning, each time becoming stronger. When this happens, see this as an alert that you have got yourself on a 'feel bad' frequency and look for the good attributes in others to help you back to feeling good.

No one is perfect, after-all, and in the grand scheme of things, what difference does it make if someone has said something to offend you. It is you that has the bad feeling, not them!

Just wish them well, with all the best possible intentions in your heart. Ignite that black, smouldering feeling that you feel in your solar plexus (near the diaphragm) and imagine the bright light engulfing it into non existence.

Sometimes things we may already know, when spoken out loud by another person, can fortify and teach us anew. Your words are sensible and true. Be happy and free, Shazwellyn. I am sure your words will help many.

Thanks theonewhoknows.

@nycgrl - Yes there are plenty of PET's out there (personal emotional trainers), but they are tough to make us better people. Bless you x

Very good, I also have written a similar hub about thinking positively: https://hubpages.com/t/254ceb. I have studied The Secret but it can be tough. Its so easy to get mad or upset. But you have to keep trying to not let the feelings take over and ruin what could be a good day, week whatever

Tony - I have chills when I read your response. It is so obvious, isn't it? We seem to have 'messages' all around us, but it is up to us to be aware of what our environment is telling us.

I was driving the other day and, just as someone said 'the twighlight zone' on my ipod, that very instant, I drove past a sign with those very words on it. I know that was a message to me, as it was significant and personal to me at that time. However, I couldnt help but chuckle to myself - it was as if the cosmos has a sense of humour!!!

I am pleased to say that this is where my life is at too. My life has changed - I am joyous, healthy and full of love.

My attitude of gratitude is extended to you, my friend :) Blessings.

This is a great article (and a timely one, as I've been struggling with keeping a positive mindset recently). Love the idea of keeping happy photos around. Watching my furry babies is always a great tool for taking me out of a negative mindset. Voted up. Thank you for posting!

Good advice, we do make the choices. It is time to choose good thoughts. A couple of scriptures come to mind. 'count(drive your heart into) it all joy during trials' and ' whatsoever is pure, lovely and of good report etc.. think on these things.

Shazwellyn thanks for the hub
