Krishna has been a writer for almost 10 years. Writing is an expression of oneself.
Why I have written a letter to my future self
Back in 2017, I have experienced gross skin condition all over my body while failing my studies and relationships. It was a tough time for me remembering all my mistakes and worries. I have hated myself for quite a while but managed to let out all my frustration through writing. I realized that nobody is perfect and all are bound to committing mistakes and imperfections. It is up to us to allow ourselves to forgive oneself. I have written a letter to my future self so that I can go back to this letter whenever life gets tough and I feel down.
Why You Should Also Write A Letter
No one knows yourself better than you do. You know your weaknesses, frustrations, insecurities, and traumas that you may never tell anyone else. You know what are the things that you must always remember to continue living your life to the fullest.
You may never tell when life gets tough and the things that you used to believe in now will slowly start to change. To love yourself is to also love your future self.
Start visualizing the things that you need to always remind yourself when life gets tough. What are your values? What are your principles in life? Write and feel as much as you can. Practice self-compassion. Write without thinking about grammatical errors. Simply, write your heart out.
You are beautiful. You are not one pathetic being. It doesn't mean that you can't solve it on your own. You are actually undergoing a 'gross' (if that's what you wanted to call it) skin condition that is inherited. Yes, you may have those ugly scars. Your world may turn upside down because not everyone will understand your situation. Not everyone will like you. But you know what's good? You can always love yourself. Please don't give up on yourself. You may be weak and hopeless for now but please hold on. Please be happy. You may not have everything for now but please appreciate what you actually have right now. Maybe, not so much but please remember that you are not alone. He is there, always.
Please always work hard. Money is not an easy thing. You can't always have good health and a clean lifestyle. Work may exhaust you, belittle you, and turn you away from having happiness and caring for yourself. Maybe, sometimes you find yourself asking if what you are doing is what you really wanted.
Please be patient. Just because it doesn't feel right at the moment it will never will. Sacrifice is a good thing. It brings you rewards. But always remember that you can't have it all. You may have given all your best but sometimes some things are just not meant for you. Please, don't give up. Don't blame yourself for a long time. Forgive.
Please don't forget to treat the people around you the same way you wanted to be treated. Please be sweet and caring while you still have time. People may shy away from you but don't stop showing them that you love them. Never stop falling in love. It doesn't always have to be romantic but please do love. You can't always trust people with all your heart, or they may be insulting towards you but please - always try to find the good in people. At the end of the day, a person with a good heart always wins.
Share. Share even if it hurts. Share even if it's just little. Don't forget to do what you love. Don't ever stop writing, scribbling, acting - even if no one appreciates, even if no one cares, at least you care.
Don't ever take away the child in you. Please be happy, smile and laugh like a child, appreciate nature, take time in doing your favorite hobbies, and love the people around you. Don't waste time - live.
Don't ever forget Him. Always remember Him, trust in Him and make Him the center of your life. The world may turn upside down but He is always there for you.
If you are successful enough, good job. I hope that you are successful not only financially but also emotionally. If you are not, I'm sure you will be able to catch up. Just wait for the right time. I hope you grow up well. Please take time in reading this: don't ever forget the people who have helped you in your life. Please keep your feet in the ground. Be grateful.
Your past self
