Reasons Why Hate Is Time Wasted

Updated on September 2, 2017

Many people can’t see hate for what it really is. Hate is nothing more than some feeling used to bury some other feeling. And even in this, it is unfulfilled.

It doesn't really erase the feelings at all. All it does is contribute to all the feelings that suck inside. This places more weight on you, and hate becomes the evil that's leading the line of depressing feelings which will eventually develop inside.

Hate Doesn't Make You a Rational Thinker

Sure, while during your job in this economy today, you’re likely doing other professions that you are capable of doing, but aren’t getting paid for.

And yes you can see, that instead of the capable firm hiring other people who desperately need a job to do this work; they shove all the work on you. And as if that isn't bad enough, they don’t up your pay for the professions you’re doing, nor for the days you stay over-time. You officially hate this freaking job.

As much as you’d like to tell your boss to take this job and do something else with it because you really don’t care, you’re leaving forever; you shouldn't. And maybe if you had never hated your job in the first place, you probably would've at least found another one before you just quit during a recovering economy.

What I'm saying is, hating something effects your ability to think things through. There you would be, eating cans of beans and corn, hopeful that the lights don't go out before you can get another job.

Please, try not to let Hate fuel your decisions.

Hate Doesn't Really Hurt Other People

You don’t even want to imagine where you could end up because of this. Hatred has a way of making you care about what someone thinks of you.

You end up doing things, succeeding at them, and looking at this person to see what they say or how they’re going to react. Please don’t waste your time.

Half of these people couldn't even think farther than they could sit in a love-seat adjacent to their body. Why would you expect them to have consideration, respect, or anything for anyone else?

Yeah sure, maybe some people will get jealous and feed that dark desire, but what if they don’t.

What if you get to the pinnacle of success and happen to be standing among the world’s most successful people? You look up and see this person, this doubter, this high school bully, to name a few, and you manage to get their attention. You walk up to them, greet them, and ask if they remember you. And for the life of them, they can’t remember you at all. And guess what, even if they could remember, a smart jerk, male or female, wouldn't give you that type of satisfaction.

All I'm saying is, if you're going to move-on then do that and leave the past where it is. You will find yourself very disappointed for climbing to a level that someone is on that you hate, just to be better than them and when you surpass them on their ladder, nothing happens. You're just there, and they've moved on so far they don't even remember you or care to.

Don't let Hate waste your valuable time and capabilities in life.

Hate Doesn't Make You Strong

If anything you get weaker. You get the benefit of walking around all puffy and pent up. And when the person that you hate so much comes up to you and says something, anything, you burst.

One would think that at this time, out of your mouth would come a rationale retort. That at this time, you would, in your perfectly logical anger, retort words that would rival Hannibal Lecter’s criticisms to Clarice Starling. You would state your hatred towards them, why you feel it, and what they can do or where they can shove it.

But no, you burst into a puffy-faced wild person, swinging, pointing, spewing, and spitting words that nobody can understand, possibly with tears rolling down your face. You look like a crazy person with no idea of what you’re angry about or what you’re doing.

And now, you’re about to get tasered because you’re in a public place and somebody called a security guard. The thing is, hate has that element of rage behind it, and if it isn't controlled, you'll end up looking like a baby having a huge temper tantrum. And yeah, about to get tasered also.

Don't let Hate humiliate you.

Hate Doesn't Help You Win Fights

A lot of people need to realize that just because they have tons of pent up rage, that doesn’t mean that they'll be a better fighter when they get in a fight.

Some people must separate fact from fiction. The angry kick boxer going for revenge in the movie is much different from the angry guy who took some karate classes and goes for revenge. Surely you've seen it.

This person has every reason to hate this backstabber, bully, or liar. And although they may deserve to kick someone’s butt, they may want to take another route. Then again hate can be a blinding thing, and lead you to tell yourself an outright lie.

Something like, because you hate them the rage inside will cause you to fight like Goku on Dragon Ball Z. But upon getting into the fight, you actually end up waking up on a street curve or sidewalk.

Great fighting skills begin with practice and dedicated hard work. You must train, train, and train some more. The great thing about ever learning and dedicating yourself to a particular fighting style is that the those skills never really go away.

And you have to tell people that are all too ready to fight someone; they are not Jet Li. But again, hatred has somehow jammed up their eardrums. They get beat-up, it's embarrassing, and just makes life worst.

Don't let Hate deceive you, especially in believing it improves your fighting skills.

Hate is Weight On Your Head and Heart

Hatred blocks you from your true potential. It causes unwanted stress, anxiety, fears and aggravation in a day that could have been without those things had you just moved on or given hate no place in your mind. Even if you have to see this person every single day, to allow yourself to be aggravated by their presence kills your ability to live your life.

Live your life, and allow yourself good mental and physical health. Leave Hate behind.

Last Note

I know it's terribly hard to stop hating someone when they truly deserve it. However, you should fight it is because of the control that it can have over you. You should not let their actions bother you because those actions are only there to cause you harm. The actions and words, whether in the past or the present, serve no other purpose but pain and problems, therefore they should just be ignored.

Let yourself live, let yourself love, and always keep going.

I have to honestly say that was a great observation. And I'm pleased to have your comment on my hub. It takes a lot of inner strength not to hate someone who you feel and know truly deserves hate. And it is their problem, that they are the way they are, and it will definitely become more their downfall than anyone else's in life. I've never heard this expression. And it's very much welcomed, thanks for reading.

Good advice re hate. The American Christian clairvoyant Edgar Cayce, who had a lot of wisdom, said if you hate someone and hold a grudge, you are in karmic debt to that person and will face it lifetime after lifetime until resolved. My impression is that hate is anger clung to and nurtured, and that under anger is feeling hurt by some injustice. The answer is not to pretend that an injustice isn't bad and doesn't hurt. Rather it is to see the good as well as the bad in the other person and to hope not for revenge but that s/he becomes a better person, while seeing that that is their problem, not yours.

When I have hated someone and tried to get them back, often times I find more going out the door than coming in.

I find it more profitable to stop trying to take people down and focus more on building myself up. It is hard to hate when you are working yourself in a positive way.

If I were to spend my free time on being angry and getting back at the people who truly deserve my hate, I would have no time for anything else. People are going to get the best of me at times; I usually accept that. Then I move on with the knowledge that those experiences will better protect me the next time someone tries to get the best of me.

Hate is odd. Sometimes we come to hate those whom we once loved. I don't like some people, but I do not hate them. Life is too short worrying about those whom we hate. Great hub. Voted up.
