The Difficult Choice

Updated on June 9, 2017

Memories flashed in front of her

Of pain and self destruction

As she walked through

The hospital corridors

Holding his tiny hands

Showing her strength

When she had none

His innocence

Was unknown to her own fears

Finally the time came

The time she dreaded the most

She kissed his small hands

And said I’ll be back

As the nurse took him away

Her fears turned to tears

And she saw him

Going inside the MRI machine.
