Writing is my passion. I have an undying thirst and quest in the field of writing. Some eat, smoke, drink or use drugs when stress, I write.

Thinking back to when we first met. There I was, an empty piece of a shell wondering around in my own world. Searching for a brand-new beginning as I was afraid of love as everyone knows it. As my soul-shake to be pull from behind a thick brick wall, I can remember how you took my hand and showed me that my life does not have to consist of alone, fear, abuse or full of barriers.

We don't always get to choose our outsets or find love because fear is the one, tremendous thing standing in the way. But through you, I found love can be a gift as well as imperfect, mind-blowing. Over a period of time, you'd brought me out of my shell, gave me a reason for my being; a new beginning and I got to know the real you. A loving, caring and gentle soul with a heart so true, and it was then I knew that I was so in love with you.

I was the ruins of my life, but meeting you have changed things for the best, and gave me a healthy heart and rest my weary soul. Now I'm living the good life, at last, I feel as if I have loved you all my life; it has just taken me this long to meet and connect with you. You assist me to make peace with all my demons when I didn't have the strength to do it alone.

We experience so many surprises during our lifetime, and some are still occasionally so breathtaking that it's hard to realize how lucky we are. Most of us felt as if our hearts were taken from us in some cases. Nonetheless, nothing of the earth should be taken for granted. I'm a great believer in fate, and I believe what's meant to happen will occur in spite of, and despite every precaution that will be taken.

On the other hand, many people always have the good fortune in their corner. The point is that luck and lack of it are not on the opposites. Both of them are very distinct entities that have different forms. Man or woman can never comprehend how they will fall in love; no one can teach us or tell us how this will happen. The fact remains that love is above everything and tramples all the obstacles in its way.

On life’s rocky road, succumbing to love both perplex us and makes us fortunate. I use the term ‘fortunate’ because people feel good in their skin and at peace with their soul. Consequently, this state was something that affected saints and commoners alike, and it persisted in their hearts no matter how long it lasted or how intensive it was. As the saying goes, love does not care about years or skin color, or even our religious beliefs. From this day forward, individuals got rid of their social or religious views because loving someone for the entire life and being happy with them is the greatest gift we as people can receive and give.

Whoever is reading this, there is a big chance that you either love someone or that you are on a good track to do so. The main issue is, when and how to give yourself to this feeling. The second thing we wonder about is the place where we will find our soul mate and whether we will end up happily ever after. Now to share the surprising way I found my true love.

My love tale, at first, seemed more like friendship, as something that will not bring any emotions, let alone love. In my case, it spread its wing and began flying.

While traveling from Abu Dhabi to Los Angeles, during a cold winter day, a few things happened to me. One of them would make me the person that I am today and mold my existence and life path. I never stood out in a crowd, and I never felt comfortable in the presence of a male I am attractive to; the courage that came from within me puzzles me to this day.

Like every traveler that flies from time to time because of work, I waited for the airplane to ascend, so I could kick back and relax in my seat. I was listening to music, my preferred playlist, as the plane soared into the sky. Something was missing, but the air attendants were flawless. At one point, an attractive male that spoke English and Spanish approached me. I had a burning desire to speak Spanish as well because it looked so natural and it seems this a chance to learn some new phrases.

After he had addressed my issue, a friendly flight attendant poured me my favorite wine. Then she walks the attractive male to the front of the plane, and when she returned after some time, she behaved as if everything is in order. Although she was cordial and polite in every manner, something just seemed off. I decided to ask her for the handsome man name. She answered in a warm voice and whispered to me John; he is the pilot.

I was unaware of how a flight attendant should behave if there were any rules of engagement, so I fret. I understand correctly. My impatience got the better of me, and I was slowly losing my cool. I caught myself thinking about his magnificent voice as I lost track of time. After learning, he was single I want to find out more about the pilot and knew I had to capture the opportunity somehow.

At that moment, we were high above the clouds. I realized that I need to wait for the flight attendant to return and take my empty glass. Alas, it comes to pass. My stomach was tied in knots. The last thing that I could have tried was asking to speak to the pilot once we reach our destination. I imagined us together in a warm embrace. I left my business cards with him hoping he will call me later.

A pleasant voice asked for me by name one month later, naturally that voice being his. I received a call from the attractive pilot that took my heart. I pulled it off. Today we have a family together, with two kids, a boy, and a girl. From the surprising way, I found my true love; I established to love is nothing...to be loved is something...to love and be loved in return is everything.
