What Is the Meaning of Home?

On the vast palette of language words can be assigned the function of the pigment while synonyms are the shades of a major colour.

The synonyms I want to explore now are the meanings of home. What does “Home” mean to Me? To You? What does the synonym “Abode” mean to me? To You? What does the synonym “Bungalow” mean to Me? To You?

My heart and mind travelled along these connotations for “bungalow,” “abode,” and “home.” I hope you enjoy reading this poem as much as I enjoyed making it for you.

Ocean Salt Like A Dance Band.
Ocean Salt Like A Dance Band.

New life swims with toes squeaking through the sand

Ocean salt gulped beyond the skin feeling like a dance band

Walk into the watermelon pink

Tomorrow skin layers of coffee tiramisu ink

Helpless laughter shared with friends

Around the onion vapours of the barbeque tends

Light airy fruity and fresh we feel

It’s all about a good time!

On the table lays delectables and morsels of deliciousness

Whistles chatter kachinking of glasses capriciousness

Toot-toot hangout

Bolsters all immune systems into life about

Citrus yellow sparkles within grin from ear to ear

Full bodies sensuality of Rockmelon orange appears

My bungalow bijou small house

It’s all about a good time!

Pumpkin Bread On the Kitchen Bench
Pumpkin Bread On the Kitchen Bench

Chestnut brown meeting place of temporality

A stable necessity that clunks practicality

Coffee beans of usefulness and reliability

Pumpkin bread loaves line the kitchen bench ability

Quick pasta pesto with garlic tomato

Walnut brown of safety and security bestowed

Structure fosters freedom

Conservation conformity and routine

To meet the needs and chores of survival

Roast sweet potatoes with olive oil and thyme arrival

Now pull out that hand knitted Jumper

Skills of yester year create more with less plumper

Maple leaves rustle in air pools of whirl

Spider webs anchor in the corners of my view pearls

Orange yellow Chicken Tikka Masala brews

Conservation conformity and routine

Breath Revive and Restore.
Breath Revive and Restore.

The Soul the Spirit the Mind and the Heart

All that cannot be seen in the impart

Yet all lies beyond and beneath

Freedom privacy and fecundity bequeath

Ambience of peaceful lilac lushness

Sea-green aqua surrendered to trust of blueness

Buonissmo emotional and aromatic

Auratic transformation and vindication

Can’t catch it and cup it in your warm hand

Inspired perfumes of Vanilla Lavender and Bergamot grand

Air droplets soothe and offer amity with guileless friendships

Circle of love and trust manifest partnerships

Ferociously guarded Kingdom

Time travel from harshness and false agendum

Relax to breath revive and restore

Auratic transformation and vindication
