That little blue-eyed boy, at eight years old, was so small for his age,
Adopted then, a new life to begin, it was now time to turn life's page.
My class was small, but he filled it up, and was there most every day,
Despite his acts and wildest behavior, so plain, he was here to stay.
Over the years as time has so flown, memories still linger, to be near,
That special Christmas our boy came to us, we'll always hold so dear.
A part of our lives, he's held in our hearts, our child of special needs,
Made life complete, when him to greet, this rewarding our best deeds.
My best efforts I gave, this child to raise, our home of loving ways,
His mother so gave, her tender care, best values, so full of praise.
A happy life, to be given every chance, this now was his to share,
As in return he gave new lives, our grandchildren, everyone so fair.
