Watch out for Potholes By Diana Pierce

This way, no go that way,

Slow down hold on your cap,

Rattle, clatter, bump and thump,

Watch out! It’s about to snap.

Nuts and bolts, new and old,

Jarred loose and left behind,

Lose your seat or hang on tight,

Country roads are not too kind.

Tires take a real beating,

Along with broken shocks,

Each to their own selves,

Hold on to your socks.

Rough terrain another lap,

Potholes here and there,

Careful not to bump your head,

Use caution and take care.

I've never read a poem about potholes before, Diana, and this was well done.

You almost need a map to avoid the potholes in township roads around here. They are always an issue with the spring thaw. These pictures are when the roads are at their best. Thanks for nice comment, John.

There maybe potholes and traps everywhere..It is therefore necessary to be alert and watchful always. Very well written. An inspiring, rhythmic poem. I loved the picture too.

Thank you, Debangee. I'm glad you like my silly little poem.

Of course it's not silly , it is very cute and meaningful.
