Warmly Frozen
Perspiring cold in a humid morning
Like fire in the midst of rain.
Heat around yet perpetually freezing
Was it just subsisting pain?
In my mind I feel warmth again
But my forehead’s cold to touch.
Recovering as fast as I can
Like wounds to patch as much.
The feel of bliss now but a trauma,
Distorted shackles of darkness past.
A poison once thought like aroma
Shattered mirrors reveal it at last.
