Verbal Abuse No Excuse

Samuel Malik Canty: the Word Bird. I am the author of Five Poetry Books, I understand my Purpose, and my words are my proof...

Verbal Abuse

The words cut like a knife… Slicing you into little pieces each time they reach your ears, there is a tear in your heart.

From out of the blue the hurtful words would be activated and agitated…

Coming out the mouth of someone you love and who you thought loved you.

Again and again you try to make your mind go blank so that the hurtful words would stop...

Again and again you try to plead with them, yet they continued until your thoughts became distorted, disarrayed and confused.

Your serene mask of tranquility has been exposed and those trapped emotions you can no longer control.

Your sad eyes, your dry tear-stained face and your broken heart has had enough pain; its time to seek change...

Its time to let go, take a stand, make whoever needs to know, that their Verbal Abuse can no longer rip you apart...

Build a Fortress in your mind that repels instead of absorbs the hurtful words...

The tongue is such a powerful weapon and when it is used wrongly it can destroy your self-esteem and arrest your dreams.

Let not the flames of an uncaring tongue keep you on the edge and keep you tormented on a daily basis.

Verbal Abuse…Whoever has been doing it to you doesn’t deserve you, doesn’t respect you and they seek to break you.

Summon the strength, muster up the nerve, be loud and be heard, there is no excuse for Verbal Abuse.

Words can build you up and words can tear you apart,so let them come from the heart and give life a spark ...
