I was trying to put more sugar in my cup of tea, as the wind blows them away like dust. I took another teaspoon and poured it into the Lipton, waiting for the drink to taste sweeter. There are two cups, both of them mine. There's nobody beside me. I took the cup and sipped the tea, and I smiled. I wish she would be here again while the tea was still hot. No, the tea is waiting for me to finish it.
It was a sunny day when we went on a hike. She wore her favorite color shirt, and I wore it to show engagement. We climbed a mountain 4 kilometers high. It was a thrill, and I could hardly breathe upon reaching the top of it. The weather was as peaceful as our minds were. We both took pictures of our memories, but now she is the memories.
She was the happiest woman I've ever seen, and her happiness greatly influenced me. But now, this happiness has become sorrow. It was all because of him, who turned from nowhere, acted as an honest thief, skillfully stealing your peace until you had no reason to blame him but for yourself.
I didn't know when they had known each other. She never introduced him to me. Well, that doesn't sound right. The very first time I saw him was when she leaned toward him, talking about something I couldn't hear. I still trusted her at that time, thinking she might find someone else to share her problem. But her actions seemed a little suspicious day by day, but I always ignored them.
It was then that I realized that my intuition might be right when I saw them holding hands and getting closer every day. I was hiding, looking at their presence. I didn't know what they were talking about, but I knew it had to be more than just a friendship. Over time, she began to draw towards him, and I could feel that she's getting further away from me. I don't know why I feel the pain, even though she's still showing her attention to me sometimes.
I didn't dare talk to her about his presence. She didn't know that I knew about their friendship. But one day, she stopped visiting me, and I couldn't even get in touch with her. I was trying to wait a little longer for her answer, but she never did. It was when I realized that she was gone. That was cruel because it was done without warning. I took the opportunity to reach her but to no avail.
In the end, I accepted her disappearance. Moving on shows, you love yourself more than anyone else.
