To the Piece of You That Is Me

Thick, dark lashes flutter open, framing dark toffee eyes that glimmer like topaz in the light.

A yawn breaks the serene calm on the girls face.

Sunlight frames the girls face, breaking through from the window behind her, casting her as an angel.

Standing swiftly, walking hurriedly down the hall, she stops in front of a mirror.

The serene calm on her face gone now, replaced with a furrowed brow and pursed lips.

Staring at herself intensely, she jumps when another person walks in.

“Get out!”

“Why?”

“Because I said so.“

“So convincing.”

“I’m serious.”

“Of course you are.”

Hands grab hers and she lets them pull her into the bed she had been in moments earlier.

Overwhelmed with emotion, she closed her eyes, a part of her dying with the action.

He stripped her, pressing kisses everywhere his lips could find and her heart burst open.

A tear flows down her face, dripping into the covers, and dried as time goes by, the time she spends letting him worship her body. Worshipping her in the only way he’ll allow before he finishes and leaves her.

“For the piece of you, that is me.”
