Tired But Restless

Updated on January 19, 2017

When You're Tired but Restless

When you're tired but restless and your mind all too vulnerable to despairing thoughts;
Try reading, cleaning, listening to music they all say.
Think yourself better is another.

How frustrating these all are;
It rolls off the shoulders,
Yet clings to the mind in the furthest depths of the darkest corners.

When you're tired but restless and your mind all too vulnerable to despairing thoughts;
When all you want to do is sleep,
To shut the world and it's chaos out,
When it seems you can't possibly keep moving forward,
When it seems you've moved no-where at all,
And the world keeps spinning,
Moving faster and faster,
and somehow you're standing still,
As if time does not exist,
With everything in slow motion.

When you're tired but restless and the mind all too vulnerable to despairing thoughts,
Remember darling,
You are not alone;
I have thought them too.
