「The Seven Knights」

Once, there were seven knights living by the countryside in the kingdom of England. Their names were: John, Nathan, Edward, Richard, Matthew, Gabriel, and Isaac. Seven knights from the countryside that roams the kingdom of England. Seven years they fought side by side, seven years of hardships they went. They knew each other very well that they considered themselves brothers-in-arms. After seven years of perseverance, after seven years of hard work, the king of England acknowledge their strength and chivalry. They were called and invited to dine with the king on the coming Christmas eve at the palace at London.
So from the countryside, they set their journey to London before Christmas eve.

While they were at the middle of their journey, they were stopped by a man. The man was dressed with fancy clothes, he held a bag of what seems to be gold. The man approached the seven knights and said:

"I will give you this bag of gold and more, only if you'll follow me."

The seven knights looked at each other, and one of them answered:

"Good sir, thank you for your offer, but unfortunately we have to decline this time. You see, the king invited us to his table at Christmas eve, we are in a hurry and cannot be delayed. It is highly important that we make there in time or else, you know the king's temper."

They bowed with respect and left to continue their journey, all of them but sir Richard. He looked back, and slipped pass to return to the man without any of the other six realizing it.

When the man saw that one of the knights returned to meet him, he asked:

"Sir, aren't you in a hurry to meet the king? You declined my offer and said you are to be expected and cannot be delayed. Then why are you coming back?"

"It's their decision not mine, I can think on my own. I'm interested in your offer. Will you really give me that bag of gold and more? Will that make me rich?"
Answered sir Richard.

"Well of course, have I not said it before? All you have to do is follow me and you'll have it. Overflowing riches before your eyes." Said the man.

"Lead on then." Said sir Richard.

And with that, the first knight met his doom. With the urge to be rich, he followed the path to earthly riches and he hadn't made it to the king's table at Christmas eve. He drowned in gold and was blinded by its reflection.

The six other knights, realizing that sir Richard was gone, continued on their journey. They couldn't return, if they did, they'd be delayed.

One day, another man stopped them from their journey. This time, the man that stopped them does not dressed in fancy clothes but was armored with pure plate of gold. He held a broad sword also forged in gold. The man approached the six knights and said:

"I will tell you the secrets in glory and fame. You will be the most loved man in this kingdom, more popular than the king. Only if you follow me then I will tell you."

The six knights look at each other. Then one of them answered:

"Good sir, thank you for your offer, but unfortunately we have to decline this time. You see, the king invited us to his table at Christmas eve, we are in a hurry and cannot be delayed. It is highly important that we make there in time or else, you know the king's temper."

They bowed with respect and left to continue their journey, all of them but sir Gabriel. He looked back, and slipped pass to return to the man without any of the other five realizing it.

When the man saw that one of the knights returned to meet him he asked:

"Aren't you in a hurry, good sir? Declining my offer to meet the king, but why did you came back? Will you not be delayed?"

"They made that decision, not me. I have a knowledge of my own. About the fame and glory you are offering, will that blessings be mine?" Answered sir Gabriel.

"Absolutely! If you follow me, you'll be much loved than the king himself." Said the man.

"Lead me the way to glory then." Uttered sir Gabriel.

And with that, the second knight met his end. Blinded by glory and fame, he didn't make it to the king's table at Christmas eve. He was led astray to his path. He was consumed with pride, the pride he will obtain in fame.

The five other knights, realizing that sir Gabriel was gone, continued on their journey. They couldn't return, if they did, they'd be delayed.

One day, amidst their journey, a man stopped them. He was not armored but dressed in white, like a doctor. He held a flask of what seemed to have fluids inside. He approached the five knights and said:

"I will give you this flask and a cauldron more of this fluid that can heal any sickness or disease ever known to man. It can even stop death at maximum. Only if you follow me then I'll give it to you."

The five knights looked at each other. Then one if them said:

"Good sir, thank you for your offer, but unfortunately we have to decline this time. You see, the king invited us to his table at Christmas eve, we are in a hurry and cannot be delayed. It is highly important that we make there in time or else, you know the king's temper."

They bowed with respect and left to continue their journey, all of them but sir Nathan. He looked back, and slipped pass to return to the man without any of the other four realizing it.

When the man saw that one of the knights returned to meet him, he asked:

"Aren't you delayed at your journey? Will not the king be angered if you are late at his banquet? You did put away my offer, right?"

"It was the other four, not mine. I can take care of my own. About the flask and the cauldron that contains healing, is it still offered? How can I obtain it?" Answered sir Nathan.

"Yes, yes, it is still offered. Why? Do you want to stop death? Follow me and you can." Said the man.

"Give it to me then. Where is the path?" Uttered sir Nathan.

And with that, the third knight met the end if his path. Hooked at stopping death, he was tricked that he can become the Saviour of mankind. His boastfulness darkened his heart in the end.

The four other knights, realizing that sir Nathan was gone, continued on their journey. They couldn't return, if they did, they'd be delayed.

Once again, in their journey, a man stopped them. The man was wearing not a dress like of a doctor. The man wore purple robes that touch the ground as he walks. The man approached the four knights and said:

"I will give you all your desires, all your wants and wishes. Only if you follow me then I'll give it to you."

The four knights looked at each other. Then one of them said:

"Good sir, thank you for your offer, but unfortunately we have to decline this time. You see, the king invited us to his table at Christmas eve, we are in a hurry and cannot be delayed. It is highly important that we make there in time or else, you know the king's temper."

They bowed with respect and left to continue their journey, all of them but sir Edward. He looked back, and slipped pass to return to the man without any of the other three realizing it.

When the man saw that one of the knights returned to meet him, he asked:

"Good sir, aren't you at an important dine with the king at Christmas eve, and should not be delayed? Why are you coming back? Will you take the offer?"

"The three decided it not me. I know what I want. Yes, I am here to make my desires come true." Answered sir Edward.

"Follow me then." The man said with a satisfied smile on his face.

And with that, the fourth knight met the end of his journey. Wanting his desires to come true, he was barred by his pleasures.

The three other knights, realizing that sir Edward was gone, continued on their journey. They couldn't return, if they did, they'd be delayed.

Once more, in the middle of their trip, the three knights were stopped by a man. The man was not wearing a purple robe, but a red one. The man approached the knights and said:

"I will give you the love you deserve, the love you want and the love of this world. The love of your life will be yours. Only if you follow me then this will happen."

The three knights looked at each other. Then one of the knights said:

"Good sir, thank you for your offer, but unfortunately we have to decline this time. You see, the king invited us to his table at Christmas eve, we are in a hurry and cannot be delayed. It is highly important that we make there in time or else, you know the king's temper."

They bowed with respect and left to continue their journey, all of them but sir Matthew. He looked back, and slipped pass to return to the man without any of the other two realizing it.

When the man saw that one of the knights returned to meet him, he asked:

"Good day, what can I do for you again? Didn't you declined my offer?"

"It was those two's answer not mine. I am independent on my own. About that love you swear, will thar come true?" Answered sir Matthew.

"Sure, haven't I said it? Follow me and I'll give it to you." Said the man.

"The way please." Sir Matthew cued.

And with that, the fifth knight had lost his way. Crowded by love, his heart never found it neither did he had it. Love tricked him in the end, choked him as he slept one night.

The two other knights, realizing that sir Matthew was gone, continued on their journey. They couldn't return, if they did, they'd be delayed.

As the two remaining knights neared London, a thick winter storm flogged their way. In the middle if the storm, a man dressed in black stopped them. The man approached one of them and said:

"It is your time, you have no Life left. Follow me and I'll extend it."

"Really? Will you?" Asked the knight.

"Have I not said it?" Said the man.

"Who are you?" Asked the knight.

"Be silent for a while and stop your questions John. I am death, and I cam to pick you." Answered death.

And with that, the sixth knight died without meeting the king. With one sweep of a storm, he gave up and gave his life to death.

After the storm, sir Isaac reached the king's castle and dined with him on Christmas eve. Then the king asked:

"Have I not sent a messenger to seven knights? How come only you dine with me tonight?"

Sir Isaac explained everything, how each knights were tricked by their own selves during their journey. Then the king said:

"'Tis true how hard to get to my Castle, only those who set their eyes on the journey are the ones that find the path and reach their destination. I adore you sir Isaac, to as such, I will give you inheritance from my kingdom. A privilege blessed to you, one of the many that set their eyes to something much more than desires of the flesh. Rejoice with me, you are one of the inheriter."

And there was great rejoicing that night.
