Short Stories and poems with deeper meaning than what is visibly seen on the surface. Enjoy!

Deep Red Rose

The deeply rich red rose is often likened to that of a passionately romantic love.

A Velvet Rose

Like the rich burgundy attire

of a velvet rose,

my love for you

is eloquently deep;

This love shall wither not;

but daily, its needs,

I shall attend to,

nurture, and joyfully keep!

Though the petals

shall close

due to the rose's natural need

of rejuvenating sleep,

Always in the very early morning hours,

it shall bloom, once again,

thus, my Delight, in confidence and trust,

do not despairingly weep!

Love Does Not Sleep

Love does not sleep, but we, as its carrier, have human weaknesses, and needs. What might be one of your weaknesses, or needs?

      Tamara Moore With a world of love constantly swirling around us it is amazing how love makes it's way into our hearts. I enjoyed the pics of the vibrant red roses. I often look back at my family and all the moments of love we had over time. Some I noticed many I wasn't aware of. Thank you for writing this wonderful hub.

      MsDora,

      Yes, I think it would be, too! I know that relationships take work, and they are not just about only having fun. They need to be nurtured and tended to like a rose garden:-)

      Hugs,

      Tamara

      Keeping the love alive is a noble effort. Watching it bloom again must be exciting!

      Nice one, Tamara.

      I consider the 400th Hub one of my best pieces. The Seer speaks about Love as the story unfolds. It is a prose work which I also turned into poetry. I don't think that I ever used the poetry here. The prose is called The Old Man Speaks on Love and Suffering.

      So happy for you! Please keep up the practice. Discipline and regularity will strengthen your concentration, necessary to enhance one-pointedness. Glory be!

      Your words create an ongoing passion that continue to expand and grow. Love is everywhere. In the little things that we do to the big things we haven't accomplished yet. Love for people is a lot harder. They are moody and find so many reasons to be sad and unhappy. When you love life and the things about yourself other people see the love flow freely. You don't have to go searching for love it will find you. Thank you for sharing this beautiful hub.

      Thank you, Manatita. I am not in-love with anyone at the moment. I am simply in-love with love itself.

      Hugs,

      Tamara

      Vermillion roses. You're in Love, Dear? That aside the poem is a beautiful read. The music of Gary Wright is vibrant and enchanting.
