The Circus Shall Always Be
What a big laugh and many giggles must be heard,
Aboard the flying saucers, the spacemen to observe.
So-called leaders each acting too much like clowns,
Must be just like the circus that keeps making rounds.
False accusations, on all occasions, they so abound,
Making of jokes, telling wild stories, on all are frowned.
Fatheads making the threats, all are hedging their bets,
Their acts of foolishness make a mess, none so regrets.
Every four years a new election, clowns show their acts,
Each party member shows affection, ignore all the facts.
Businesses get set, see their interest a candidate backs.
Almost each time, always do rewind, all follow the tracks.
The aliens have now made up all's minds, was so easy,
While watching the masquerade, makes them all queasy.
Just adding popcorn with cola, the underhanded payola,
Making all see the ship of state to sink, with no controller.
Monkeys swinging in trees make better sense, is with ease,
Turtles do crawl, although so small, finish jobs with a breeze.
Fish that each swim in the sea, all work together, as all agree,
Know by instincts, when a cause stinks, all as happy as can be.
Birds may just walk sometimes, although all know they can fly,
Know when to use reason, no matter the season, if they do try.
A horse is a horse, never roars, even as he neighs or snores,
Know who they are, don't laugh too hard, at all jokes, of course.
The circus master cracks his whip like a captain steers a ship,
Directs his entourage, wearing a corsage, with never any slip.
Ideally, this statement is true, what a true headman should do,
Sometimes, no action rhymes, intended to be shown, true-blue.
If at times we all look like a zoo, and in almost all that we do,
Is a sign of our past, catching up with us at last, yes, it's true.
Our oldest relatives were wise, and if they could, they'd advise,
Learn from mistakes in the past, then act, is ours all to surmise.
