Summer Love Flies By

I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida. .

Summer love as old as time,

with words as sweet as rhyme,

with passion ever strong -

summer love can’t go wrong.

Think it’s the moonlight

and you look so fine,

heart beating so fast -

I want this moment to last.

They danced beneath a golden moon,

while summer breezes blew

and flowers gave off sweet perfume -

their kisses like promises upon the summer wind.

Music was playing

and the moment was magical.

Stars were twinkling up above -

their passion sent skyrockets into the star-sprinkled night.

The summer nights such delight

and they were so in love,

their hearts beating as one,

in the moonlight.

Promises made of forever

and love never ending.

Kisses full of longing -

magic in the summertime.

Summers have always woven magic webs,

lovers have loved much stronger,

on hot and steamy nights,

with flowers sending sweet perfume.

It’s a never ending story,

that goes on and on,

embraces and kisses,

passion and promise.

Love goes on all summer long,

as the twilight sets in,

lovers walk hand in hand -

until autumn leaves begin to fall.
