Roses Standing Proudly in a Vase; A Lovely Floral Display: Poetry

Updated on April 20, 2017

Roses standing proudly in a vase, a lovely floral display

My honey Ray came visiting and brought me a beautiful rose bouquet

I was pleasantly surprised in a girlish kind of way

Roses standing proudly in a vase, a lovely floral display

I steal a whiff each time I pass by

While dusting and cleaning, I'm on a natural high

Merci Beaucoup Ray

Ha ha ha. Always a mother, perhaps, and yes, still a romantic. I like that. My calling is different, and including today, I'm always surrounded by monks.

Hope that May weekend is good to you and yours. I wish you God's Grace today and always. You're a strong and loving soul.

Thank you Mike. It is nice to have a sweet friend. He's asked me to wear his ring, and it's difficult for me to make a commitment. Old memories linger from past hurt, but I've moved on, but still marriage kinda scares me. I will work it out. Thanks again my friend..

Manatita, I always think that every person needs someone in their life to be happy, not true with you. I can understand your feeling's. You are into the beauty of life through your heartfelt and inspiring poetry. But, who knows, someday when you least expect it a damsel will catch the eye of the seer. Best wishes my friend..

No, no, no ... my loving Friend. Don't wish it for me! There is a very beautiful story in the Mahabharata about a Sage who was treated so well by a devout woman, that he gave her a boon to have a child. Of course she was not married, but the Sage's words came true and she went through many hardships.

The Disciple basically is monastic. Pursues a Path which is actually loving and simple but quite deep. It is a great privilege and a great responsibility.

I couldn't begin to describe how I feel here in Jamaica, Queens, what we are doing here ... all over the world to further the cause of Love; of service to mankind, of Peace ...

Sure it can be done with company, but it is generally much harder. But yes, my Love, I'm really happy for you. Pray for me this Easter Day, but only so I can enhance my devotion to the Will Divine. Much Love.

P.S Yes, I will write another Ode to The Rose for you. Let me get back to England. God's willing, I will leave on Tuesday.

Dear Genna. I have been so lonely since losing Tom two years ago. At first I was hesitant, but after checking him out, knew he was the person he said he was, then I prayed asking God to lead my path. After a few weeks he told me that he'd prayed the same prayer. Thank you for being happy for me. Hugs

Manatita, It's remarkable how we met, he saw my picture and emailed me. I emailed him and it progressed from that. We exchanged phone numbers. He sent me a photo. He visits me weekly and calls me often. I am amazed because I didn't think anyone could ever take Tom's place in my life. I really do believe there is someone for every person who reaches out. I do so wish the same for you. Hugs my poetic friend. Can you write another ode to the rose. I know it will be beautiful...

Paula, It appears to be a gift. I prayed for someone to fill the void in my life since I lost Tom. Ray told me that he prayed the same prayer. We have the same values, plus he is fun to talk to. When I met his daughter Becky, we hit it off wonderfully. She is into fitness. She is a PE teacher. He has two sons, whom I haven't met but will this coming Thursday. I'm not sure about marriage, but a friend is great. Thank you for your friendship and continued support. Hugs..

Hmmmm Sounds like a keeper! Best of luck in Love, girlfriend! Going slowly is the way to do it. You just recently told me you are single..for some reason, I assumed you had a hubby.

It's great to have someone special in our lives. I mean YOUR life. I'm totally retired from relationships~~forever. Jim's been gone over 4 yrs now (hard to believe it's been that long) and I've adjusted to being the Lone Ranger, no more Tonto for me! :) I wish you happiness.

Ruby this is our best rose season, although we have five really. We get going out to the car a few moments early this time of seasons. My young son and my wife and I circle around to holler out our favorites and normally my son picks one out for mom for the day.

Over my years I have decided that a man gives a lady friend roses, the lady should look at how the man appreciates the roses he has given. Does he stand in a kind of awe of their beauty? Does he really appreciate God's handiwork? If he does for the roses then chances are better than not that he will appreciate God's handiwork in you, which is magnificent.

Hello Paula, never in a million years did I ever think I would meet someone special, but it happened. He liked my poetry and asked if he could come visit. I was somewhat apprehensive, so I checked him out, and lo and behold he was a true person. He has taught school for 41 tears. ( A Lutheran school ) He plays the organ in his church. I have been seeing him for weeks. Last week he brought his daughter Becky to meet me. My son Jackie has given his blessing, so all is good, but I'm moving slow. He is one year older than me, and he's handsome! He lives 100 miles from me in Ill. His wife died three years ago, she had been in a nursing home with Alzhelmer's Disease for seven years prior to her death. It's been decades since anyone has given me roses. Thank you for your sweet comment..Hugs
