If I could only but fly to the furthest star,
in the vastness of universes, most bright.
I'd not let go, then to be holding on tight,
and this to be gripped with all my might.
This world, to be much more in distance,
its vibrance, an aura shining, so unfolds.
While in my happiness, I will be smiling,
as I'm now so achieving all of my goals.
I'd visit the planets, Jupiter and Saturn,
when I'm there to ride upon their rings.
Then I'd explore the grand newest sights,
just do a thousand of my undone things.
I'd search the whole galaxy for a place,
much so like that one of our own earth.
Just my going there for the fondest visit,
expressing all goodwill, to travel its girth.
I'd shed my tears, confiding this to all,
my worries, about my worst of fears.
How we have all now so failed here,
on our own planet, over many years.
I'd warn them about terrible pollution,
how it so causes a severe revolution.
Destroying the habitat, all creatures,
without having any apparent solution.
Then I'd travel on, face a universe alone,
hiding my own feelings, of my sadness.
Seek shreds of hope, the end of a rope,
of this our poorest fates, such madness.
I'd turn my face toward our heaven's gate,
by then in my hopes that I am not too late,
Ask the angels to let me in, start a new life,
this one new chance, much to appreciate.
