Rain in April

April rain brings sonnets
written by bedraggled poets
seeking shelter
beneath sodden trees.
their romantic hearts
beat time in iambs, seeking
the right enjambment
to induce swooning
at parties of vacuous women
and balding men.
shall i write sonnets
to their angels, tears
waiting to flood,
or tercets to trees
their tenderness piercing veils
as i wrap myself in the warmth
of leaves

It's therapeutic and inspirational to walk in the rain. I could almost smell the rain right in my bedroom on this sunny day...

Love the Vzucous women and balding men. We are sodden, soaking, and being deluged here in the Pacific Northwest.

Considering the fact we are drowning here, I should write something about the rain. Nah, yours is perfect, so why bother.
