Prosody

O Wondrous Guide from beyond beyond,

Who stands at the threshold of mind

And dictates wondrous words of rhyme

And measured breathings

That do pluck the heart and soul from

Out the case wherein they reside,

Beauty and paradise are brought from

Within thy realm to us!

And struggling with this barrier that

Man calls tongue or language,

We strive and wrestle upon the parchment;

Quill in hand, do battle with

The demons of this world,

And finished, leave the ashes

On the parchment, of

What you said to us.
