Parting clouds

I was fine when I looked at the constellations.

I saw the clouds part as the azure grandeur,

Painted its lustre, on the blank canvas of my Spirit.

I was fine while surfing on the ocean’s crest.

The Light of the sun consoled me;

The waves resonated the melody of the lark.

Alas! Greed entered with gifts of toxic promises,

Her brother Lust, raping and pillaging the land,

Sneering at the cries and afflictions of its flock.

Ego dined on caviar, in Palaces with princely robes,

Its callous coffers, filled with diamond spoils of war.

Gone was the symphonies of blue-birds and nightingales;

Lost, the immaculate purity of roses in childlike Hearts.

I could hear the wailing of hovering drones;

Taste the smell of sacrilege, in the ambience of the breeze.

I saw the Lilliputians run, maimed or dying,

And I cried - like a giant – a river of tears to ease their pains.

Just yesterday, I was dancing with the swans like Plisetskaya;

Today my eyes are frozen with the darkness of the night.

Love is somehow still on duty … just;

And so I sing King David’s psalms,

In the deep tabernacle of the Soul.

      True, Shauna.

      We need less greed; less ego ... bigger Hearts. We need to feel that people everywhere bleeds; shares the same or similar values; have the same eternal Father ... are our brothers and sisters...

      Thank you so much!!

      Yes, my Sweet.

      We have to deal with so much! Let us pray for God's victory, you and I and perhaps say in the words of the old negro spiritual: "We shall overcome!" Thank you so much!!

      Manatita, when I think of the many war-torn countries in this world, it breaks my heart. People shouldn't have to witness such atrocities.

      You know that I would be drawn to both the literal and figurative essence of a phrase like "the immaculate purity of roses in childlike Hearts." Such beautiful descriptions.

      It is difficult to see the wealthy dining while the poor are hungry. The sin is not having money, the sin is not sharing. This was a beautiful reminder to see the suffering around you...
