"I got you another brownie. Sorry for

messing up the last one."

"And where’s my drink?"

"I’ll go get one right now."

"Are you not tired?"

"No, why would I be? You know

I’ll do anything for you."

"I wouldn’t."

"I know, but it’s okay. You’ll… you’ll…"

"I’ll what?"

"You’ll see how much effort I put into

this relationship and…"

"What relationship?

We have no relationship."

"Yes we do, of course we have a relationship…"

"No we don’t. I’m literally a

figment of your imagination.

I don’t exist."

"Of… of course you do. You said hi to me

this morning."

"That was just me being polite.

I don’t know who you are."

"What are you… you know who I am."

"If I did then why am I walking away from you?

Laughing about you with my friends?"

"B…because y…you"

"Give it up. You don’t know me."

"Yes, I do!"

"NO, you don’t!"

(…)

"You need to let me go."

"Why?"

"Because this is not good for either of us.

You can’t keep thinking that I’m eventually

going to change into a person you want. And you

can’t keep pinning this version of who you want to

become on me because I’ll never change. Especially

not for you. Because I don’t know you,

and you don’t know me."

"But I do know you…"

"No. All you know is the version of me you

concocted in your head based on a few fleeting

moments and conversations we had. I only exist

in your head. You don’t know me well enough,

so you started filling all these missing information

about me by yourself, based on a warped perception

you have of me."

"No, I didn’t…"

"And now you’re trying to change me or

hoping that I’ll become that person, but you’re

only setting yourself up for disappointment.

You need to let me go."

"But I…"

"There will never come a time where you’ll

be happy with me. Or with who I am.

I can’t become a person that never existed.

You need to let me go."

"But I love you so…"

"Please let me go…"
