My Tribute to the Wild Things
Brother bear hides in his favorite tree,
The Snowy Owl watches all from his perch.
The big White-tailed deer encounters a sound hard to see.
The Bob Cat looks for his dinner, not finding much.
While Wood Ducks strut their stuff,
The Red Fox poses in the Winter.
A cooling drink enjoyed at the lake,
A Grey Squirrel chatters about the wind. more than enough.
A big Large mouthed Bass fooled by the Dragonfly once again.
Wild horses race on the open plain,
Wild Turkey Strutting for his girlfriend,
Brother deer takes a last look before munching once again.
Wildcat misses his bullfrog, making a great escape,
Buck and doe playing chase all over the landscape.
Bobcat Blues, as dinner scoots.
Wild Mallards give a last salute.
A temporary interrupting bird's call,
The beauty of the world in the Fall.
Morning's repose on a limb above the snow,
A short rest for breath in the woods,
A Red fox will never be considered as slow.,
A fast retreat along the creek,
Father goose taking his evening swim. enjoys his treat.
The artist feels that he may never do justice to the beauty
of all the wildlife he has drawn and painted.
