Secret Lover: My Romantic Relationship with the Logical Spock

Updated on July 25, 2017
Tamara Moore profile image

Whimsical, happy, spiritual, informative, and/or nonsensical singsong lyrical poems, metaphors, prose, rhymes, and short stories.

Sometimes it is very fitting to have a relationship with a tranquil personality who can add calming reassurance, and not create additional chaos, to an already highly-emotional individual. On the other hand, an emotionally-charged personality can be very helpful in stimulating a passive, unresponsive, and overly-logical individual.

Opposites Attract

Spock, and I,

go together,

oh, so very well;

He is very logical,

and I am an emotional

roller coaster

from Heaven,

or from hell!

Edification

He is level-headed

and walks

an ever rigid line;

I swerve to the left or right,

since my boundaries

are blurry,

and often

difficult to define.

Spock is sophisticated

and carries

such amazing self-control;

Celebration!

I am spontaneous

and free,

and ever which way

the thunder groans

is the way I tend to roll!

I like to awaken

him, though feelings

he has not;

Desperation

Source

And, he likes to quiet

and calm me,

when deep

within emotions

I am so frantically caught.

Opposites are Spock, and I,

though we balance

each other out;

Deportation

Source

I, displaying a full

spectrum of emotions,

and he, showing me what

an unemotionally logical life

is really all about!

      LOL..you made me laugh, Hari...LOL... Yes, I tend to think with my emotions:-) I need to borrow a bit of that Logic from Spock. Maybe I will just take it from him while he is sleeping...err, not sure if he sleeps..hmmm; maybe I'm just suppose to plug him in at night..

      Mr. Spock's logic and your emotions balance themselves out. There will always be another mission. One that I am sure you will explore. Finding the best things in the world that sparkle. Then searching far beyond and realizing the sparkle comes from our emotions and feelings. The combination of the two can be quite incredible. So appropriate on the Fourth of July. I hope the fireworks shine brighter than ever. Have a great day.

      Yes, Dream...life experiences do tend to teach us what we don't want, and to better appreciate those things, or people, in which we can be so wholly grateful to have in our lives. It also teaches us about those who are healthy for us, and those of whom, are most definitely not.

      My older brother loved Star Trek and I watched many episodes growing up. So I seen a lot of Spock. I don't think I picked up any of his good traits because I think with my heart. I am so happy my wife found me. There are a lot of people that love to crush and cause pain instead of love. Through it all we learn what we definitely don't want and that makes it so much easier to enjoy what we really love. I think learning the hard way didn't seem fair but it made us aware. Thank you for sharing.

      You created a hub light years ahead of it's time. Such an interesting topic. As you look up into his deep, dark eyes he looks back at you with total surprise. Having so much fun one line at a time.

      Hi Billy,

      Ha, just like your wife, I am very emotional, too, and have tried to start thinking more logically:-) I think there is a good balance between being somewhere in the middle. I like Spock's eyebrows; they seem very logically arched:-)

      Hugs,

      Tamara

      Spock has always been my favorite, so we have that in common. I love cold, hard logic which bypasses the turmoil of emotions. I am logical; my wife is emotional; somehow we balance each other out.

      Oh! Thank you for saying so, MsDora! Yes, Spock, and I, get along very well together, or not at all. So, we make a good team. I am especially attracted to his eyebrows, and I was the one who taught him how to lift only one eyebrow at a time :-)

      Hugs,

      Tamara

      Thank you, Manatita. Guess what? A rabid spider tried attacking me tonight. It was walking on my sleeve, and I couldn't brush it off, so I screamed, and then started shaking my hair out. I still don't know where it went to. Eeeew!!!

      Scared,

      Tamara

      You're a 'crazy' one, Tamara. A sweet simple and 'crazy' one. It is actually a gift to be so simple. Nice!
