Loving My Pain Until It Was Gone: A Poem

Val is a life-long student of the psycho-philosophy of living and a devoted practitioner of many techniques that enhance personal evolution.

I had this sinus pain and decided to love it,

and believe it or not, it was not a love at first sight

I knew it was impossible for me to just shove it

so I resorted to loving it with all my might.

And boy, did I ever love it at its very core

not allowing anything to spoil that romance

I loved that fabulous pain more and more

with every second increasing my healing chance.

Needless to say, pain was hesitating

like playing hard to get, resisting my charm

and for a while it seemed like a failure of a dating

but being persistent couldn't do any harm.

Yes, there were words of love I spoke

and I smiled at my pain accepting it all

I know, this all sounds like a weird joke

but love had a chance, no matter how small.

And you guessed right, or else I wouldn't brag here

the pain succumbed to my loving advances

one more time making it so clear

that love comes out a winner in any circumstances.

Jackie---As soon as you stop laughing you can write one. I am glad I made you laugh.

Can't stop laughing. This may be the only thing I have not written a poem about!

Shannon---Thanks, sounds like a compliment. And you must be a clever one to have noticed it.

You are a clever one! Amusing but you even managed a moral. :)
