Lovely Wildflower
She came to him one day,
like a wildflower so lovely,
an independent soul,
looking for love and understanding.
She never let him pin her down,
came and went,
like the wind.
Soon he was hopelessly in love,
watching this beauty,
like a wildflower beneath the sun,
blossom and grow.
With her beside him,
he thought he could do most anything,
when she smiled,
she took away all the rain.
He loved her more than anything,
but was willing to let her have her way,
as long as she was willing,
to be with him most every day.
In every way,
a lovely wildflower was she
and if possible grew lovelier still.
It was his love that shone upon her,
that made her bloom,
from within her,
her soulful lovely colors did shine.
He made it known,
this wildflower was his,
to have and to hold,
to love for eternity.
Came the day when she was ready,
fully in bloom,
so colorful and happy,
finally ready to stay,
loving him in every way.

Another beauty, Rasma!
I love the atmosphere of this narrative poem, the freedom it alludes to. I like the progression of love to the point of ready to commit.
