It's always better tomorrow

Two brothers are in a big jam. They have too much work to do. Boy, are they slammed.

Jimmy:
"Gosh, there's so much work to do. But, I want to play. What a drag..."

Josh:
"Yeah, I know. Me too. I wish we could just do it tomorrow."

Jimmy:
"Why don't we just do it tomorrow?! Everything's better tomorrow!"

Josh:
"Yeah, that's a great idea!"

The two brothers begin to sing.

Jimmy & Josh:
It's always better tomorrow
Jimmy:
We'll put it off till then.

Jimmy & Josh:
It's always better tomorrow
Josh:
Yes, we can do it then.

Jimmy & Josh:
It's always better tomorrow
So let's sing this happy song!

Jimmy & Josh:
It's always better tomorrow
Jimmy:
So just keep on dancing along.

Jimmy & Josh:
It's always better tomorrow
Josh:
Who wants to work today?!

Jimmy & Josh:
It's always better tomorrow
Jimmy:
Let go outside and play.

Jimmy & Josh:
It's always better tomorrow
Jimmy:
Work is such a drag...

Jimmy & Josh:
It's always better tomorrow
For now, let's play some tag!

Jimmy:
And when tomorrow comes
There will be work that needs to be done...But Just remember this, It's always better tomorrow!

The two boys skip away leaving their chores behind. All the while laughing, singing, and playing tag. Foot-loose and fancy-free.

The End.

Thank you, Brenda. Great to have your comment. I agree, a day of fun never hurts. However, too many days of fun could be a problem. I just fear the boy will have the same idea tomorrow too. Haha. Have a great day!

Yes, sometimes we all need a day of fun.

Those chores can wait until tomorrow.

I think the thought that it is always better tomorrow is a good way to put off those tough chores. I like your poem, Json. It is easy to put things off as tomorrow may never come.
